Peter served 38 years in the NSW Police force, of which 31 years was spent as a Criminal Investigator in the areas of crime, surveillance, drug investigation, child protection and internal affairs. He uses this direct experience in Criminal Law with every client he represents, ensuring that they receive the best representation throughout the Criminal Law and court process.
In his time with the NSW police he saw numerous cases where police officers stepped outside the boundaries of the law and acted unlawfully in a misguided effort to secure a conviction. This has given him the ability to help accused clients understand their rights and represent them when they have been let down by the legal system.
As well as extensive familiarity with the criminal law justice system, Peter has specific experience that includes:
- 10 years in Drug Investigation in high profile sections such as the Organised Crim Quad, State Druig Crim Commission and Drug Enforcement Agency.
- Senior Investigator in Child Protection leading a large team of detectives
- Lecturing in current legislation at the University of Western Sydney to students seeking to enter the NSW Police Force
