During his career as a criminal lawyer, Nick has developed a reputation amongst colleagues, clients and the judiciary as a fearsome and fearless advocate:

Nick has a wealth of experience in major cases involving murder, drug importation, serious sexual assault and fraud. He has appeared in courts at all levels from the Local and Children's Courts to the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and Court of Criminal Appeal. He has also appeared in numerous Coronial Inquests.
In addition to practicing solely in criminal law for over 12 years, Nick has a wide range of experience in the criminal justice system including:
- Acting as an Investigation Officer for the NSW Ombudsman's Office investigating police corruption and misconduct (during the Royal Commission into the NSW Police)
- Juvenile Justice Officer assessing and assisting juvenile offenders in Western and South-Western Sydney including Bankstown and Cabramatta
- As a caseworker at the Inner City Community Legal Centre in Darlinghurst, Sydney
