Fiona joined ACLS as a senior solicitor and practice manager in June 2010. Since winning the NSW Law Society Mock Trial competition whilst at high school Fiona has known she wanted to be an advocate. Obtaining her honours degree from the University of Wollongong, Fiona was admitted as a solicitor in 1997.
She commenced a sole practice in Bowral at the age of 30 and has always practiced primarily in criminal law, although she has a background in Family law and civil litigation also. Fiona has also taught the Law of Evidence and Law in Society at the University of Wollongong.
Fiona brings her extensive knowledge of the law and her skills as an advocate to each client she assists. Fiona has experience in numerous Local and Children’s courts across the state. She has also appeared in many District Court trials and sentencing matters, as well as Federal and Supreme Court appearances. Fiona can assist her clients to achieve the best result available to them in a range of matters from minor traffic offences to allegations of more serious criminal offences including assault, murder and drug matters.
Fiona is also responsible for conducting any civil action the firm may undertake for clients whose rights have been breached.
